Our Pizzas

Our pizza dough is soft and pillowy rather than dry and crispy, the dough is made in-house daily by our team of Neapolitan pizza chefs then proved for 48 hours. This longer fermentation process requires very little live yeast which makes our pizza dough even lighter and more digestible.

Our tomatoes are world-class San Marzano and we use only imported Fior di Latte and Mozzarella di Bufala DOP from Campania to make our classic Vaporetto margheritas.

The ingredients do move rather than being glued to the pizza base; Simply fold the pizza slice in half and stick it in your mouth like we do in Naples...

The key to phenomenal flavour is the quality and freshness of our ingredients. Once prepared, our pizzas are blasted at a fiery 400+ degrees for just 80 seconds.

Our Trucks

Our ultra-high specification mobile pizzerias can be booked for any event, festival or party that you are planning for 2019 or 2020. All of our mobile pizzerias are equipped with a fully integrated pro-audio sound system to guarantee that everyone in the queue or in close proximity is having a great time.

The VAP #1 mobile pizzeria is currently available for private events, festivals and parties. It has a maximum output of 65 wood-fired pizzas per hour. We will bring the truck to you and prepare our signature Neapolitan pizzas on site.

The truck is approximately 6.5m in length and requires 3.5m of height clearance. Access is important. We do not 
require power.

VAP #2 is a container trailer format and has been designed for major events, festivals and parties that require a high output solution. VAP #2 is capable of producing 250 wood-fired pizzas per hour. There is also a custom designed DJ booth integrated into the container and the option to hire our Funktion 1 sound system, which includes:

F1201’s, BR118’s, Allen and Heath PX5 Mixer, Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2’s and FFA Amps

About Vaporetto

James developed the idea for a mobile pizzeria while riding the Haute Route cycle race in the French Alps last summer. "Roadside pizza is such a thing in France," he says. "They use fantastic ingredients and a scorching wood-fired oven to create the ultimate fast food, and it's not expensive. It's perfect."

After learning his craft at the revered Association Verace Pizza Napoletana in Naples and Florence's Bivero Pizza Academy, James launched his first custom-built pizza truck in 2018. VAP#1 can be found on the streets of Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex as well as at private events, festivals and parties across the UK.

The recipe is from Naples, the ingredients are from Campania and the passion is all James' own.
